PH1051 – AB – Thursday, Jan. 26th

January 26, 2017

Hi folks.

I’m just realizing now that I misread the schedule and I’m supposed to be in the classroom with you. I’m assuming that by the time I get to the campus it’ll be too late, so I apologize for that. I even had your tests corrected and ready to hand back! Doh!

Sorry again for the inconvenience folks!

Added after the fact: Just to clarify, I made the original post at 5:50, which was the minuteĀ I realized I had misread the schedule. I had no intention of cancelling the class; I thought I was seeing you guys at 6:30. This is why the cancellation didn’t show up on the College web site… there was no cancellation, or intention to cancel, it was simply a mistake that I didn’t realize I had made until about 20 minutes after the start time. Again, I’m sorry for the misunderstanding and that some students felt their time was wasted.

Exam!

December 9, 2016

Hi folks!

Hope you’re all feeling good about the final. I have posted blank tests for those of you who were interested in seeing them. Email me if you have any concerns and I’ll try my best to address them. In the meantime, enjoy the weekend, try not to stress, get lots of sleep, and rock the exam on Monday morning! You’re all going to get through it!

Best of luck with the rest of them!

Final Exam and Tutorial Schedule

December 1, 2016

Hi folks!

The semester is quickly winding down. I will not be assigning any more work or scheduling any further tests. However, there is one assessment left, and that’s the final exam, scheduled for Monday, December 12th, at 9:30 AM. Check your schedule (available on the CAS Facebook page) for room numbers and details.

In order to prepare for the final, I’ve scheduled two review tutorials:

Friday, December 2nd: 11:30 am in the lab (F-207 I think)
Thursday, December 8th: 3:30 pm in the lab again.

There is no set list of material that will be covered at the tutorial sessions, so I encourage students to bring materials that they’d like to see covered. I strongly encourage all my students to attend one of these tutorial sessions.

Best of luck on the final!

PH1050 AB – 1:30 PM tomorrow (Thursday, October 20th)

October 19, 2016

Hi folks,

Sorry for the short notice, but an opportunity for some PD presented itself and I felt like I couldn’t pass it up. In order to facilitate it, I’m going to be moving the class that we have scheduled into the lab slot at 3:30pm, and we’ll simply push this week’s lab back to next week.

I’m sure nobody will complain about the hour of free time tomorrow! Enjoy!

PH1050 Assignment 1

September 19, 2016

Hi PH1050 folks,

Sorry about not posting assignment 01 on Friday before I left. I make this mistake a lot with the blog: I update the page and then forget to press the “update/publish” button to make it go live. Unfortunately I was away from the computer all weekend so the update didn’t happen. I will adjust all due dates accordingly: if your assignment was due this week, I’ll extend the due date until Monday. This is the case for all groups.

Cheers,

Gerry

Have a great weekend!

Just a reminder that our final exam will take place in our regular classroom at 7pm on Monday; we’ll meet from about 4pm or so in the same room to do a tutorial. Bring whatever questions have been troubling you!
